Carolin Görtler: I am a long time visual practitioner. After studying visual communication at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz, I worked in various large cartoon productions (in drawing and in production management) and then visualized more than two dozen complex strategy visuals as well as children’s books. For the last ten years I have been delivering more and more business visuals and drawing live as a graphic recorder. My (even older) experience as a foreign language secretary with career steps in various business sectors and my curiosity for always new topics and changes benefit me.

What really excites me about Graphic Recording is when all this flows together. It provides you with pinpoint visuals for your content in the glimpse of a moment. When communication becomes visible in this way, every participant finds their place in the big picture. Everyone has a complete, multi-faceted picture before their eyes – then I have reached my goal. Because then you can get together with your team and manifest your goals… implement change… keep any essence in front of your eyes… onboard anybody more quickly into a topic… spread your message…

I am often amazed myself that the ancient “cultural techniques” of drawing and writing have the power to make living, learning and working easier in today’s complex world. Besides strategy visuals / business illustration I also offer Graphic Recording (visual event facilitation and in real time). I visualize complex issues digitally, in close interaction with the client via phone and email communication.
