Gunter Rubin: Since 1997 I have been working as a visual practitioner and quick-drawer for advertising agencies, publishing houses and business services. In this I create storyboards, strategic visualizations, explainer videos, editorials and much more. The facilitation of change processes through visualization “graphic recording“, is a growing area of my work. For this purpose I am on the road all over Germany for market research, strategy consultants and other customers to support them on site. My recordings are created depending on the requirements and area of application, such as:
- quickly sketched on paper as a basis for discussion or to explain team presentations within a workshop. This can be e.g. product ideas, workflows, or solution approaches, etc., which I quickly visualize to support an ongoing discussion. Thereby I focus on the customer’s goals in my role as a silent witness or active process participant.
- with classical “graphic recording” on a suitable surface (this does not always have to be rectangular), I facilitate workshops, seminars and congresses to summarize the most important points into a memorable visual. Thus, during the event, identification can be generated as an experience. Through a summary of the most important results of group work and discussions. In addition, it ensures that all participants will remember any topics and these can be integrated into i.e. staff communication. Digital work is also part of this process for me.
As flexible as I am about technique, as flexible I am about style. I enjoy thinking of new formats and implementing new techniques. CI, client requirements or wishes are a first priority for me.
